The self-proclaimed “Michael Jordan of this whole street/hip-hop industry” Master P recently sat down with Vlad TV to discuss his career and some of his entrepreneurial skills. In the interview, he mentions his prolific deal with No Limit Records. The 80-20 deal, in which Master P would have the advantage, also gave him full control of his masters — which is extremely rare considering the fact that numerous hip-hop artists were shafted by the industry. The deal led to many other ventures he would pursue, and also a $350 Mil net worth. Hit the jump to check out the video.

Now, when any comparison to the likes of Michael Jordan (or any other Michael… Take your pick) arise, there’s obviously another artist that comes to mind. But in his own defense, Master P states:

“I ain’t tryin’ to be the best lyricist—I just make music that people could feel. But I am the best businessman, I feel I’m the best hustler in the game. So, I’m always about my business, I think that people didn’t think you could do that, but when you put your own marketing and promotion money up you can control your rights.”
