Get to Know Snow Tha Product

In a recent interview Snow Tha Product Talks Eminem, Blasts Disney and Being a Latina Rapper, citing her Hip Hop inspirations, hopeful impact on the game and pressure from the mega-conglomerate to change her name.

The Bay area native, L.A. resident and up and coming female Hip Hop artist Snow Tha Product Talks Eminem, Blasts Disney and Being a Latina Rapper during a sit down that revealed some dope details. For one, Eminem was her biggest inspiration to start rapping, noting she started listening to him when she was going through a lot of struggles in life and he’s been a huge impact.

Snow Tha Product Talks Eminem, Blasts Disney and Being a Latina Rapper when it comes to the Disney corporation, notes her original rap name “Snow White” was way more than not well received. In fact she says she got a lot of pressure from Disney in the beginning to change her name, though she maintains the company (like they’ve done to so many stories) has unfairly claimed the story as their own, “probably for 20 pesos.”

In filling the gap by being a female and Mexican rap star Snow Tha Product Talks Eminem, Blasts Disney and Being a Latina Rapper definitely makes strides for a largely untold experience in Hip Hop. She sees there’s not a lot of Latina’s for young people to look up to in the game, and welcomes the opportunity:

“I noticed that there was no Mexican chick that was rapping that I could be like, ‘Wow, I can relate to that. There’s a lot of stuff that goes on with being first generation Latino that nobody’s really expressing at least in the way I think it really should be expressed. So I’m kinda filling the void for now.”

Snow Tha Product is currently signed to Atlantic Records and cites her biggest Hip Hop inspirations as Slim Shady, Lauryn Hill, Missy Elliott, and Big Pun. When you listen to her spit…that makes a lot of sense.
