"Suspicious" Mansion Fire Leaves 6 Missing

Updates on the cause and conlcusion of the original story: Technology Exec & 5 Others Feared Dead from “Suspicious” Mansion Fire which has gutted a 16,000 square foot home to ashes.

The Annapolis mansion fire has been concluded to be caused by a faulty electrical outlet powering Christmas tree lights in one of the large rooms. The skirt of the dry tree is reported to have most likely caught fire first, eventually killing homeowners Don and Sandra Pyle and four of their grandchildren-relatives: Lexi age 8, Katie age 7, Charlotte age 8, and Wes, age 6. RIP.

Technology Exec & 5 Others Feared Dead from “Suspicious” Mansion Fire in Annapolis, Maryland earlier today. Sources say Don Pyle, chief operating officer for ScieceLogic–an IT service and operations platform–was believed to be home with his wife and four grandchildren when 80 firefighters responded to the two story house at around 3:30AM.

“The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives is assisting the local fire department and an ATF national response team is being assembled because the fire was deemed suspicious, a law enforcement official said.”

Firefighters apparently had a difficult time putting out the blaze because the house is secluded. Reportedly there are no fire hydrants around the property, and now Technology Exec & 5 Others Feared Dead from “Suspicious” Mansion Fire. The victims were not searched for initially due to the size and heat of the fire.

“Photos the fire department posted on Twitter showed hoses stretched for long distances…it took several hours for fire department tanker trucks and a fire boat on an adjacent creek to bring the fire under control.”
