Machine Gun Kelly was in LAX yesterday to catch a flight to the Sundance Film Festival (where he performed last night alongside Erykah Badu and Nas to celebrate the premiere of their new film, The Land.) While walking through the airport, the “Till I Die” rapper was followed by a photog who apparently was a huge fan – but made the mistake of calling him “one of the top 5 white rappers.” “I mean I’m not just a great WHITE rapper,” an annoyed MGK responded. “I’m a great rapper, motherf*cker.” As the photog tried to backpedal, MGK elaborated on the issue of race in rap, and took a slight dig at Macklemore’s new song when he said, “Race is not an issue. It looks like Rita Ora has a few special plans in the works! The British song-bird recently revealed to The Sun that she is dying to remake the hit-song “Lady Marmalade.” The track was originally released in 1975 by LaBelle and was then remixed back in 2001 by Christina Aguilera, Pink, Lil Kim and Maya. However, Rita has some new things in store for the track.

A$AP Rocky finally has the ball rolling on his long-awaited sophomore album, and according to a few interviews he did over the weekend at SXSW, the project is ready and it’s coming soon! After revealing to Billboard that the album is currently being mastered and features the likes of Juicy J, Lykke Li and FKA twigs, Rocky spoke to VIBE and elaborated on its A.L.L.A. title, which he previously announced during a Tumblr Q&A.
