Last night, Hot 97 brought their Who’s Next Live Showcase to SOB’s, and featured Travis Scott, rap duo Trips-N-Slim (Doug E. Fresh’s protegees), Apollo the Great and Doley Bernays all performing for a packed, sold-out crowd. Hot 97’s Peter Rosenberg held down hosting duties, with DJ Juanyto on the 1’s and 2’s. Accompanied by opening acts, Chance The Rapper, The Internet and Vince Staples, Mac Miller makes his way to NYC’s Hammerstein Ballroom for The Space Migration Tour. Armed with a red cup and a pair of overalls, Mac performed hits like, “Loud,” “Goosebumpz” and “SDS” to an excited crowd! This celebrity is going a step further by making the following statement at a performance in Quebec: “I’ve decided today that until the ‘Stand Your Ground’ law is abolished in Florida, I will never perform there again! Wherever I find that law exists I will not perform in that state or that part of the world.” That could prove to be tough because over 22 states have Stand Your Ground laws.
