Wow, Iggy Azalea Makes Billboard History AGAIN!

Iggy Azalea is smashing sh*t right now! The Australian import has already achieved two major feats on the Billboard charts this year, tying with only Ashanti as the longest run by a female to hold the number one and two spots on the Hot 100, with her single “Fancy” being #1 and her feature on Ariana Grande’s “Problem” being #2. She also is behind only the Beatles among acts that have spent the most time at numbers 1 and 2 simultaneously with their first two Hot 100 entries. And now a third accolade to add to her resume: Iggy’s Charli XCX-assisted single “Fancy” tops the Billboard Hot 100 for a sixth week, giving her the longest-leading number 1 by a female rapper, passing Lil Kim who previously held the record with five weeks at number 1 with “Lady Marmalade” in 2001. Congrats, girl!

(Photo) Iggy Azalea’s Responds To Nicki Minaj’s BET ‘Best Female Hip Hop Artist’ Speech In A Simple Post

Iggy Azalea has finally responded to the shade or no shade, thrown during Nicki Minaj’s 2014 BET Awards acceptance speech, empowering female emcees to write their own lyrics. And with all of Iggy’s newfound success the Australian artist states she is not bothered by anything said rather everyone trying to make a big deal of the issue.

(Photos) Nicki Minaj Addresses BET Awards Shade Toward Iggy Azalea…But It’s Kind Of Funny!

After Nicki Minaj had some choice words for female rappers that don’t write their own lyrics during her acceptance speech at the 2014 BET Awards on Sunday, many took it as a diss to the only other woman in that ‘Best Female Hip-Hop Artist’ category that gave Nicki some competition, Iggy Azalea. It’s well known that Iggy’s not the most lyrical of rappers, but her songs are fun and they’re definitely successful, but whether she writes the lyrics herself is up for debate as she’s never really spoke on the matter. Taking to Twitter just a little while ago, Nicki finally addressed the alleged “shade” she threw Iggy’s way and clarified where she was going with her speech…but she didn’t exactly say that she WASN’T talking about Iggy. LOL! Nick is so hilarious. Check out her tweets in the gallery and let us know your thoughts!

Iggy Azalea On Beef: “No Other Rappers Have A Problem With Me…”

Iggy Azalea may have spoke a little too soon, having conducted an interview about “no other rappers” having beef with her just before Nicki Minaj’s incredulous shade at the 2014 BET Awards on Sunday night. “I have never had any musicians tell me that I wasn’t authentic for being white and Australian,” Iggy said while talking to The Guardian recently. “No one. Even I had a warped perception of how I would be received in this business. What I’ve come to realize is that it’s the people who write about music–or who are outside it in some way–who have a problem with what I am doing. The only true insiders are the musicians themselves.” She MIGHT be changing her statement now, though.
