Lady Gaga Is On Track To Lose $25 Million For Her Label

Danggg! People are already calling it ARTFLOP. On Nov. 6, Lady Gaga released her third studio album, “ARTPOP.” Horribly, “ARTPOP” is on track to lose $25 million for her label, Interscope, and people are about to get laid off. The tough thing about it is, it’s more than album sales. When Gaga opened this year’s MTV Video Music Awards, her performance was overshadowed by the Miley Cyrus’ twerking. Lady Gaga has set the bar very, very high for herself. Execs say, “If her goal is to be more outrageous than she was before — I don’t know that she can surpass it. What she can do? Write a great song.” Good luck, girl!

Did Lady Gaga’s ‘ARTPOP’ Flop??

It seems like the pop diva Lady Gaga’s anticipated album, was not so anticipated, as the singer has been faced with her record sales plummeting at an all time high, hit the jump for more!

Dropped? Hmm! The Game Confirms He’s No Longer With Interscope Records

The Game was introduced to the world via Interscope Records back in 2004, and 5 albums later, it looks like the relationship has run its course. In a new interview with Larry King, the Compton rapper revealed he’s no longer with the label, adding that he’s a “free agent.” Where do you think he’ll go next? I’m sure it won’t be G-Unit! LOL.

Robin Thicke Helps Interscope Make History

Robin Thicke’s hit single “Blurred Lines” is doing wonders for him. This week it stood strong at number 1 on Billboard’s Nielsen BDS-based Mainstream Top 40 chart for the sixth week in a row, and number 1 on Rhythmic for a seventh! Now for the first time for Robin, T.I. or Pharrell, it has achieved the number one status on the Adult Top 40 list as well! That’s not all, though. The track has topped the Billboard Hot 100 for 9 weeks; set the mark for the greatest weekly audience (219.8 million); and become the first song to sell at least 400,000 downloads in each of four weeks. Oh, and it continues. The song is just the second (and the first in more than 14 years) to top Mainstream Top 40, Rhythmic and Adult Top 40 simultaneously. And now that it’s number 1, and Imagine Dragons’ “Radioactive,” Maroon 5’s “Love Somebody” and Zedd’s “Clarity” are numbers 2 through 4 respectively, Interscope is the first label ever to boast the top four Mainstream Top 40 titles concurrently. Congrats to all!
