With NBA All-Star weekend underway now in New Orleans, Lil Wayne stopped by ESPN’s First Take to show love to his hometown and talk sports. Most of the convo was centered on Kevin Durant & Lebron James, but he also addresses his musical influence on younger children and it is surprisingly an interesting interview. Young Money is full steam ahead with the release of their upcoming second compilation album, Young Money: Rise Of An Empire. The project is the follow-up to their 2009 debut, We Are Young Money, and has already spawned the single “We Alright” featuring Lil Wayne, Birdman and YMCMB newcomer, Euro (who we were introduced to on Dedication 5.) Today, it’s like “Roger Dat” all over again, as Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne and Tyga revealed the title and cover art to their next collaborative single, “Senile.” Check out the artwork in the gallery, and be on the lookout for the track on February 17th.

It’s Coming! Drake Takes To Twitter With A Little Hint Of What’s On The Way!

Tha Carter V is coming, just wait on it! Lil Wayne has teased the fifth installment of his popular Carter album series for a while now, often dubbing it as his retirement album. He also has said that before C5’s release, he’d be putting out another project with Birdman (the follow up to 2006’s Like Father, Like Son), as well as a another group release (the follow up to 2010’s We Are Young Money.) As previously announced, the Young Mula gang will be dropping their sophomore compilation in March, with the lead single being the recently-released, “We Alright.” “I’m working on that Carter 5,” Wayne raps on the track. “I got this b*tch in fifth gear!” Then taking to Twitter yesterday, Drizzy confirmed the project is underway, with a tweet that simply read, “Carter V.” Hopefully this means he’s on it as well! I do know that Wayne is currently in L.A., and Drizzy is as well, so this could definitely mean studio time together! However, the bigger issue here – could he really be retiring? The game needs you, Tunechi!
