Love & Hip-Hop L.A: Looks Like Ray J Is Out, Could The Game Be In? Plus More Details!

A few months back, Love & Hip-Hop creator Mona Scott-Young revealed that her popular reality series would be spinning off once again, choosing Los Angeles as the location when presented with 3 options: there, Houston or New Orleans. Early reports suggested some major names were in talks to be a part of the cast, including Karrueche Tran, Tyga and Blac Chyna, Lola Monroe and Ray J, though Karrueche has since shot down the rumors. As we head into 2014 (and production is likely gearing up to begin), more details have been revealed, and it seems that Ray J’s “maybe” has turned into a definitive no. Previously a VH1 family member as the star of his own reality dating show, “For The Love of Ray J,” Ray went on to the Oxygen channel as host of their “Bad Girls Club All-Stars” show, and the contract will not allow for him to flip-flop between networks. However, it seems like an even bigger star is ready to step up: The Game! Having just wrapped two seasons of his show “Marrying The Game,” the newly single rapper (more on that here) just met with Mona and her team, posting the photo to Instagram with the hashtag #LHHLA and warning people that they should be nervous. That should be interesting! There are a few castmates definitely confirmed for now, however: singer Brooke Valentine (jeez…remember that 2005 song “Girlfight”?!,) radio DJ Yesi Ortiz, rapper Hazel-E, and video vixen Bria Myles.

(Video) Love & Hip-Hop’s Add/Drop List And A New L.A. Cast?!

I’m ’bout tired of most of these chicks – except for Yandy and Tahiry – any way, so good riddance! Many of the female characters from Love & Hip-Hop: NY have been canned. Sorry fo’ ya…Olivia, Raqi Thunda, Jen the Pen – of course, Consequence – Winter Ramos, Rashidah Ali, and Lore’l. Hello, Amina, Tara, Erica Jean and not so new face, K. Michelle. Not too sure about my interest in this cast! I’m more-or-less trying to get a glimpse of Joey’s smoove ways. LOl! In other Love & Hip-Hop related topics, Mona Scott-Young admits that she’s looking into a few other cities for hip-hop’s talent! Wondering who would she cast in L.A.?! Hit the jump to find out which other cities may be involved.

Karrueche Shoots Down Love & Hip-Hop Rumors

Over the weekend, reports surfaced that Mona Scott-Young had gotten the approval for yet another Love & Hip-Hop spinoff, with her choice of 3 cities: Los Angeles, Houston and New Orleans. Apparently she opted for the former, and was in talks with Tyga and Blac Chyna, Bow Wow’s ex and child’s mother Miss Joie (who is now dating producer Hit-Boy), Karrueche Tran, Lola Monroe, Jasmine Sanders (Chris Brown’s and Young Jeezy’s ex girlfriend) and Jas Prince (Christina Milian’s boyfriend.) The report also said Ray J would be co-producing it (the only way he’d be able to be a part of it since he is contractually bound to Oxygen for something with Bad Girls Club,) and he’d bring his artist Yung Berg into it. Later reports said Mona was PISSED about the info leaking, because a lot of the cast were only “in talks,” and E! is reportedly interested in Tyga and Chyna for their own show, so this would make them move quicker to bind them to a contract. (Makes sense, as they’re all buddy-buddy with E! darlings The Kardashians now.) Mona was also pissed because Karrueche was apparently only interested if she could promote her line, but hadn’t yet spoke to Chris about it, and would likely back out if it got to him without her being able to spin it the right way. Looks like that’s exactly what happened! Check out her tweet in the gallery. Damn, that would have been a dope cast. Let’s see what happens from here!

Casting For Next Season Of LHHNY In The Works! Guess Who!?

Looks like the LHHNY cast is already developing for it’s next season. Rumors were that Jen the Pen and Consequence would not be returning, but they denied claims saying that they’re on it as of now. There has also been talks of K. Michelle joining the LHHNY cast, as she has moved from Atlanta to NY recently. Although plans are still in the works and everything is up in the air, it seems as though this is what’s being talked about right now. We will be sure to update you with more details as the cast develops. Who are you excited to see?!
