Netflix Announces Three Dave Chappelle Comedy Specials

Dave Chapelle will be making his way back to the big screen soon. Netflix has just announced that they will be blessing us with three Comedy Specials. Earlier this month, Chapelle hosted a Saturday Night Live centralized around the election. The episode featured Chapelle and A Tribe called Quest. On the episode, they spoke on misleading headlines that stated Chapelle was endorsing Donald Trump. He quickly shut those rumors down.

Netflix will soon premiere Barry, a film produced by Vikram Gandhi, which takes a look into President Obama’s younger years, specifically while attending Columbia University in the early 80s. Newcomer Devon Terrell stars as the young Obama, while Anya Taylor-Joy, Ashley Judd, Jenna Elfman, Ellar Coltrane and Straight Outta Compton‘s Jason Mitchell all have roles as well. The film premieres December 16, but you can check out the first trailer now below.

The show which focuses on The Bronx in the 1970s and the inception of the Hip Hop culture will feature a soundtrack containing some big names such as pioneer Grandmaster Flash, the legendary Nas.
