The University of Texas at Austin officially announced today that it will allow students to carry handguns in the university’s classrooms, according to ABC’s KTRK reports. University President Greg Fenves released a statement revealing, even though he’s personally against the idea of guns on campus, the university will allow concealed weapons permit holders to carry guns in compliance with state laws. President Fences stated, “under the law, I cannot adopt a policy that has the general effect of excluding licensed concealed handguns from campus.” More below.

President Obama is already pretty comfortable when it come to television appearances. Aside from his daily appearances on news stations, the POTUS has been featured in shows like “Running Wild With Bear Grylls” and Jerry Seinfeld’s “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee.” It now appears that when Obama leaves office, he’ll have a spot secured for a role on FOX’s hit show Empire (if he wants it). TMZ photogs caught up with ‘Empire’s’ executive producer Brian Grazer in West Hollywood and asked if he would ever have the President on the show. Grazer admitted he never thought about it before, but he would certainly LOVE to have Obama as part of the cast. What role would he play though? Check out Grazer’s answer below.
Old Dixie Highway in Riviera Beach, FL is no more. Now when you travel down that highway you’ll be driving on President Barack Obama Highway. Riviera Beach officials renamed the highway. The new sign went up on Thursday displaying the name of the United States of America’s first black president. This highway holds a lot of history and memories for many people. Old Dixie officials have said it paid homage to an era that glorified slavery. The name was symbolic of racism that took place many years ago, cross burnings and the KKK and Riviera Beach Mayor, Thomas Masters says it was time for change.
