Someone was listening a little too hard to Kanye’s “New Slaves.” A Pennsylvania newspaper had to apologize on behalf of their editorial cartoon, which compared modern-day air travel to the “Middle Passage” aka slave ships. The trans-Atlantic leg of the slave trade continues to be a very touchy topic that involves brutal experiences of most of our ancestors. The slave trade involved transporting captive Africans to the Americas to be sold into bondage… YEA, nothing to make light of.

’12 Years A Slave’ is the true story of a freed New Yorker Solomon Northup, who was kidnaped and sold into slavery. Northup, played by actor Chiwetel Ejiofor, was tricked into playing a violin gig in a borderline state during slavery and was kidnapped by the alleged promoters of the event. Once in the south, the freed New Yorker was stripped of his identity and sold into slavery, where he remain a slave for 12 years in Louisiana. I think this movie sends a very strong message to people of every race. It provides a true look at America’s past, an understanding to our new generation of their ancestors, and an answer the root of disfunction in our society. Kreayshawn Becomes The Latest Victim Of Fake RT’s
Bow Wow almost went off the deep end due to the infamous “fake RT” over the summer, and now Kreayshawn is the latest victim of the cruel joke. The fake RT is a simple concept. An influential tweeter will simply type “RT”, the person’s @ name and whatever stupid thing they want to make them have said. They’ll usually add their own astonished comment in there as well. Today they had Kreayshawn saying “Sometimes I wish slavery was still going on.” It couldn’t be confirmed or denied by those that don’t follow her because some time ago, she’d locked her account to make it private. After that first fake RT went viral, another one quickly spread. This one made it look as though she was trying to clean up the last one, yet still being equally as “racist.” “Gm guys, last nite someone hacked my page,” it read. “i am sorry. i love FRIED CHICKEN! Forgive me.” Obviously this caused another uproar but all the while, her page was still locked so nothing could be confirmed. Finally the “real” Kreayshawn stood up, and unlocked her Twitter so she could let everyone know the real deal. Check out her tweets below.
