Since its launch earlier this year, the Verizon iPhone has been several OS releases behind the AT&T iPhone. And it’s not clear why, according to an article in CNN Money. It could be one reason and it  maybe Verizon.

Both iPhones are the same when it comes to hardware but  Verizon’s iPhone runs over the carrier’s CDMA network, while the AT&T edition uses GSM.  Now because of this Verizon iPhone users are behind when it comes to OS updates.  As of right now Verizon iPhone users are stuck on iOS 4.2.8 while At&t users are updated to 4.3.  The issue at hand now is if Verizon user want to install iCloud they need to be updated to iOS 4.3.  So Verizon Iphone users are left out the loop.
