I guess it is safe to say these two do not like each other. More so seems like Josh Smith doesn’t like Kenneth Faried. Smith fired back at Faried after he made comments regarding Smith’s game after the Nuggets defeated the Pistons earlier this week. Faried kept his talk to basketball but Smith clearly was not feeling it and held nothing back and got personal!

The Nuggets beat the Pistons 89-79, with Smith scoring 25 points on 9-of-22 shooting. Faried hinted afterward that Smith’s errant perimeter jumpers cost the Pistons.

“Josh Smith, we let him keep shooting,” Faried told the Nuggets’ official website. “And he ended up with 25 but he still kept shooting. He shot them out of the game.” That last comment was all it took to set Smith off

“I don’t respond to nobody that has dreadlocks and plays basketball,” Smith said. “I don’t respond to people like that. The man’s a clown, man. Quote me on that, too.”

He just continued from there:

I just laughed,” he said.

The teams play again Feb. 6 at The Palace of Auburn Hills and Smith said he would remember Faried’s words that night.

“He knows it’s coming,” Smith said. “In order to make comments like that, you’ve got to be able to back it up, man. And we’re going to see what happens next time.

“I’m gonna have some words while I’m bustin’ his ass, you know what I’m saying? While I’m bustin’ his ass. I back up what I talk. So it’s going to be a pretty good matchup.”

“Everybody’s entitled to their own opinion but just do it while the game is being played, not after the game, to see what kind of outcome the score’s going to be, to run your mouth like that,” Smith said.

Smith said he intimidates Faried, which is why the latter talked after the game rather than during it.

“He fears me,” Smith said. “He’s scared of me. So of course he’s going to talk about me in the newspaper. He’s not going to do it to my face. If you’ve got to hide behind a smart phone or a microphone or a recorder, so be it.”

Early in the season and we already have out first “beef” of the season. For the record, Faried is pretty much right though. You can beat the Pistons simply by letting Josh Smith keep shooting since he seems to be the only person in the world who doesn’t realize he has no jumper, especially from three point land.
