Kraft Recalls Mac and Cheese

OK…the major food industry is getting out of hand with these recalls. Now there’s approximately 242,000 boxes of Kraft Recalling Mac and Cheese for Metal Pieces, (WTF)???

Those of us who stick to homemade may have had the right idea all along. Besides whatever ills come with processed foods, now we gotta worry about…metal scraps??? CNN Money reports Kraft Recalling Mac and Cheese for Metal Pieces which affects the 7.25 ounce box of their original flavor. The boxes being recalled all have a sell-by-date of September 18, 2015 and had been shipped to Puerto Rico, countries in the Caribbean and our own United States. (So call your cousin, roommate, wife…) and make sure they steer clear.

Kraft Recalling Mac and Cheese for Metal Pieces says customers can and should return said boxes to the store of purchase for a full refund or exchange (not sure an exchange will ease your mind though). You can also call Kraft at 1-800-816-9432 to get your refund. For context, Kraft was also hit about a year ago for the artificial yellow dye used in most of their cheese products, which a petition and scientists found harmful in more ways than one.

So far in the Kraft Recalling Mac and Cheese for Metal Pieces a number of complaints were lodged but they’re unaware of any injuries due to the metal pieces. Still, WTF Kraft??? This is the latest in food and health news since the Blue Bell ice cream Listeria outbreak, Dunkin Donuts taking a potentially dangerous chemical out of their donuts and on a lighter but still dangerous note–the Feds recent approval of powdered alcohol. Be careful what you eat and drink!
