Smartphones Will Soon Alert You For WHAT?!

Postifier is an app that with notify you via smartphone when your mail has arrived. It works by placing the Bluetooth’s monitor inside the mailbox and its sensor detects any light, which is when the mail is inserted into the mailbox. Once the Bluetooth device detects the light a message will be sent straight to your smartphone. It can connect within a 100 foot range and its battery lasts six to nine months. If all goes well with it’s funding Postifier will be available for both iOS and Android in December.

Holy Sh***…. Android Did WHAT ?!

Google CEO Larry Page announced this week that more than 1.5 million Android devices are being activated DAILY and that over 50 billion apps have been downloaded from Google Play. These numbers are almost double what they were last year. There are more than 900 million Android devices worldwide and counting, which is pretty amazing considering the first Android phone launched less than five years ago. Google is expected to pass Apple’s App Store in total app downloads later this year or early next year. Congrats Android !!!

Google Chrome For iOS Just Got Better

Google gave iPhone and iPad users a significant update in the form of an update to its popular browser, Chrome. The desktop version of Chrome has been kicking around for years and has grown to be one of the most widely used browsers. Chrome on iOS is growing into a serious threat for Safari, the native iOS browser. This update brings fullscreen browsing to iPad users and a comprehensive browsing history to both iPad and iPhone, a feature strangely absent since the browser’s mobile debut.
