Behind The Lyrics: Drake Seemingly Comes For Diddy & Joe Budden On “4pm In Calabasas”; Diddy & Joe Respond

On Saturday night, Drake blessed his OVO Sound Radio show with a one-hour guest DJ set. In that time, he premiered three new records from himself, including Justin Bieber’s “One Dance” remix, his new collab with Gucci Mane and the solo record, “4pm In Calabasas.” It’s the latter that’s making the most noise by far. You don’t need to hear the entire song to realize Drizzy is going IN on this record, seemingly finding the “inspiration” that Joe Budden was accusing him of lacking on Views on his now-infamous podcast episode. Joe himself noted this, tweeting “Sounded inspired,” while live-streaming Drake’s DJ set.

Behind The Lyrics: Lil B Disses The Weeknd On “4 Tha Record”

Lil B has put his Based God curse on a few people in the past, but he’s stuck to athletes for the most part, and with a fairly good reason – they would do his cooking dance but not pay homage. For some reason, he’s turned his ire to The Weeknd now, though he doesn’t explain why.

“Call me Lil Bars with XO Bars Saying f*ck The Weeknd, I can’t sing that soft”

…are some of the lines, and later in the song:

“A lot of suckers fake so I can’t respect it F*ck The Weeknd put that on record”

He hasn’t exactly put the Based God‘s curse on him, but still – unwarranted disses are never too fun! “4 Tha Record” will live on Lil B’s upcoming mixtape, Thugged Out Pissed Off.

NEW MUSIC: Gucci Mane-Truth (Jeezy Diss)

Gucci Mane takes shots at Jeezy in his latest, “Truth” after he heard about Jeezy calling him “retarted.” Gucci says that the track isn’t a diss but him telling the truth. We’ll have to see if the Snowman bothers to waste his time by responding to the diss. Listen for yourself below. Julie A.

Lil Kim Finally Speaks On Nicki Minaj’s “Stupid Hoe” Diss

Nicki Minaj not-so-subtly came at her nemesis Lil Kim on the street single “Stupid Hoe,” off her forthcoming sophomore album, Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded. The song came out over two months ago, but the usually vocal Lil Kim remained fairly quiet about it…until now. While appearing on Bravo’s “Watch What Happens Live” to promote her own new single yesterday, Kimmy finally spoke on the diss record. Watch what she had to say below. What are your thoughts on the beef between these two? Marisa Mendez

Canibus Takes Back Diss; Apologizes To J. Cole

Well, that was quick! And it should have been. Canibus was completely out of line for his diss to J. Cole. If you’re not familiar with the situation…Cole is and always has been a huge Canibus fan, stating that in almost every interview and playing some of his older songs at the beginning of a lot of his shows. Canibus was mad that Cole doesn’t play his newer stuff, so he made a diss record saying he’s not REALLY being genuine and showing love. What?! Now he’s posted a new video, apologizing for coming at the young emcee. Check out what he had to say. Marisa Mendez

(Video) Mama Jones Recording Chrissy’s Diss Record

This teaser came out over the summer, but since tonight’s episode of Love and Hip-Hop showed the making of it, I figured I’d re-post for those (like myself) that missed it when it originally dropped. Watch the video below. If I find the full version, I will post! Marisa Mendez
