NBA Report: Nuggets Want to Trade Ty Lawson For the No.6 Pick in the Draft

The 2015 NBA Draft is steadily approaching which means there will be an increase in reports about teams trying to trade up for a better pick.  The latest news involves the Denver Nuggets.  It’s no secret that Ty Lawson and the Nuggets are pretty fed up with each other.  The Sacramento Kings new coach George Karl used to coach Lawson on the Nuggets and wants to coach him again.  Can the two teams come to a deal?

Ty Lawson averaged 15.2 points and 9.6 assist during the regular season, while the Denver Nuggets struggled and missed the playoffs. Coach Brian Shaw was fired as coach, and it was also believed that Shaw and Lawson consistently feuded through-out Shaw’s tender, causing Lawson to not play as hard as he could. Well now due to some comments made on Instagram, he may find himself on another team next season.

Brian Shaw was fired in March during his second season as the Denver Nuggets head coach and there were numerous reports that there was a disconnect between him and the team.  While that might have been true, it wasn’t all bad times as you can see from this video posted by Ty Lawson.


NBA: Report, Denver Nuggets Ty Lawson Arrested For DUI

Ty Lawson was arrested early Friday morning on suspicion of DUI. According to the police report, a Denver PD officer spotted Lawson going 61 MPH in a 35 MPH zone, so he pulled him over. The officer says Lawson admitted to having consumed alcohol prior to driving. From the sounds of it, Lawson was wasted.

Kevin Durant as well as OKC fans need to get used to the fact that free agency talk regarding him is only going to get stronger with each passing day, week and month until the summer of 2016! The talk of him returning home to the Washington DC area to play for the Wizards is the focus of all rumors, especially today since OKC is actually Hosting Washington. Now another NBA player, Ty Lawson who knows KD even before the NBA because they are roughly from the same area, is saying he has talked with Durant about the move.
