Hate him or love him, but Lebron is currently your leading vote getter for the NBA all-star game on February 17th, 2013. James leads all players with 641,348 votes. Kobe leads all Western conference players with 639,419 votes. The remaining players along with Lebron from the east with the most votes so far are Carmelo Anthony, Kevin Garnett, and at guard it is Dwyane Wade and Rajon Rondo. The west leading 5 besides Kobe right now are Chris Paul, Kevin Durant, Dwight Howard and Blake Griffin.

Now this is the first time the NBA is allowing votes via social media, and the one player who seems to be benefiting from that the most is Jeremy Lin. The Asian community has always supported their players when it comes to all-star voting (remember Yao Ming?) but this year if Lin somehow passes Chris Paul or Kobe for one of the starting guard spots it would be ashame because he has been a disappointment overall so far this season is Houston. He is currently only 55,000 votes behind Paul to start, and there is plenty of time left in the voting process. So if you want your favorite player to be in the game, make sure you hit up NBA.com or go to your favorite social media sites.
