Seems like this mini-feud just won’t quit. After Lebron called out Kevin Garnett & Paul Pierce for the way they left Boston, Garnett fired back last week by telling Lebron to “worry about his own team“. KG was right, but Lebron also had a point, especially after the way Pierce and KG attacked Ray Allen for leaving Boston to go to Miami. Now the former leader of the Celtics, current Clippers coach Doc Rivers jumped in the action. You already know which side he is on. Hit the jump.

While it is true KG and Pierce were traded from Boston to the Nets, it was a trade they all knew was beneficial to them, as they did not want to stick around in Boston with a new coach and new era. Lebron was upset after they verbally attacked and criticized Ray Allen last year for leaving to Miami. This week Doc Rivers jumped in to defend his former guys and fire back at Lebron. Rivers said “Paul was traded whether he wanted to be or not. Kevin was the only one who had to agree to be traded even though he had already been traded. He had to agree to the trade. That’s completely different”.

While it is different, it actually is not. They made it look nice by making it a trade, but everyone knew KG and Pierce did not want to stay in Boston for a rebuilding period. That is why they were so willing to go along with the trade. In the meantime they would not look like bad guys in the Boston media for leaving. Technically , it is the same thing. So who do you agree with?
